What people say

Professional page numbers in seconds.

★★★★★

I always forget to add page numbers before printing reports. This tool adds them in 10 seconds, bottom center, with the exact font I need.

The "Page X of Y" format is exactly what my legal submissions require. Skipping the cover page was a one-checkbox option. Perfect.

I compiled a 60-page thesis PDF from multiple Word exports. Added bottom-right numbers starting from the intro page. Saved me half an hour in Word.

Roman numeral format for front matter, then switch to arabic for the body. It handles both in separate passes. Genuinely impressive for a free tool.

The live preview showed exactly where the numbers would appear before I committed. Tried top-left, then switched to bottom-center. No guessing.

Added numbers to a scanned PDF. The tool placed them cleanly in the margin without overlapping any content. Exactly what I needed.

Our school requires numbered pages on all submitted assignments. My students can now number their PDFs themselves in seconds. I send them this link.

I had a merged PDF from 5 different sources with no page numbers. This fixed it instantly. The font size control made sure they matched the document style.

FAQ

Common questions

Can I skip the cover page and start numbering from page 2?
Yes — use the "Start numbering from page" setting to skip the first N pages. The cover page will have no number, and numbering begins on the page you specify.
Can I start page numbers at a number other than 1?
Yes — set any starting number. If you're combining multiple documents where the numbering should continue from a previous section, set the starting value to match where you left off.
Will page numbers cover existing content?
Page numbers are placed in the margins with a configurable offset from the edge. As long as your PDF has standard margins, numbers appear in the empty margin area. Use the preview to confirm placement before downloading.
Can I use Roman numerals?
Yes — choose the Roman numeral format from the presets. This is useful for front matter (table of contents, preface) where convention uses lowercase Roman numerals.
Does adding page numbers change the file's text content?
The numbers are added as new content on top of each page — the original text, images, and structure are completely unchanged. The added numbers are searchable text in the output PDF.
