The "every N pages" mode is what I use for batch-splitting invoices. Hadn't found that feature anywhere else for free.

Used it to extract individual pages from a scanned legal document. Thumbnail preview saved me from splitting the wrong page.

Split a 200-page textbook into 20-page study sets for my students. Zero quality loss, completely free. I recommend it every semester.

The range syntax is intuitive — "1-5, 8, 12-end" just worked. No other free tool handles this without uploading to a server.

Extracted the financial summary from a 90-page annual report. Ran entirely in my browser — no risk of confidential data leaking.

The ZIP download for multiple splits saves a lot of time. I used to process each part separately with other tools.

FAQ

Common questions

Are bookmarks preserved in split PDFs?
Bookmarks pointing to pages within the extracted range are preserved. Bookmarks pointing to pages outside the range are removed from that output file.
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
Yes, enter the password when prompted. The PDF is decrypted locally and split. Output files will not retain the password.
How many parts can I split into?
No hard limit. Split a 500-page document into 500 single-page PDFs if you like. All output files are bundled in a ZIP for download.
Does splitting reduce PDF quality?
No. Splitting is a non-destructive operation — images, fonts, and vector content are extracted exactly as they appear in the original, without re-encoding.
