Resize, crop, convert. Zero uploads.

Compress, resize, convert, crop, rotate, watermark, blur — everything you'd normally do in Photoshop or by trusting some upload site. All of it runs locally in WebAssembly, on your device. We have no way to see your files.

Common questions

How does local image processing work?

Do my images ever leave my device?
No. Everything you see — compression, resize, conversion, watermark — runs in a Web Worker on your machine using WebAssembly builds of mozjpeg, libwebp, libheif and ImageMagick. We have no server endpoint for image data. You can verify this by opening the Network tab in DevTools while you use any tool.
What's the maximum file size I can process?
There is no kindatool-imposed limit. The practical ceiling is your browser's memory budget — roughly 2 GB on desktop Chrome / Firefox, less on Safari. We've seen single 600 MP PNGs go through fine on a laptop. For batches, we recommend ≤50 files at a time to keep the UI responsive.
Is the quality the same as Photoshop / Adobe?
For compression: yes — and often 5–20% smaller at identical SSIM thanks to mozjpeg's trellis quantization. For resize: we ship the same Lanczos & Mitchell filters Photoshop uses. For format conversion: identical encoders. The difference: we don't subscribe you to anything afterwards.
Will it strip EXIF / GPS metadata?
By default, yes. EXIF including GPS coordinates is stripped on every save. There's a "Keep metadata" toggle if you need it for archival reasons. Orientation flags are honored regardless — you'll never get a sideways photo back.
Why is there no account or sign-up?
Because there's nothing on our end to attach an account to. Your files never reach a server, so there's no "your photos" tab for us to show you. We don't run a credit system, we don't have batch quotas, we don't send emails. We're a static site with WebAssembly bundles.
